Roxanne Lumme is passionate about design. While in college, when she was supposed to be sketching a still life in class, she might just as easily be sketching an imaginary living room instead—clearly seeing every detail in her mind. And that is largely how she works today—she is able to ‘see’ the finished project and know the result will perfectly fulfill her clients’ needs and wishes.
With an innate sense of style, unerring eye for color and perspective and an easy manner, Roxanne makes the design process fun and unintimidating. Perhaps it is her midwestern upbringing, her ready laugh or the way she adores her family; whatever the reason, her clients feel at ease with her working style and come to trust her instincts.
She has a fresh and sophisticated take on timeless design; effortlessly able to combine treasured family heirlooms with more modern elements to create a room that uniquely reflects the lives and style of the people living within.
She understands the importance of staying within budget and works hard to protect her clients from spending time or money on frivolous extras. Project size is irrelevant — whether a full home redesign or simple color selection—each is approached with the same commitment and focus.
Through her membership in the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP) and continuing education classes at the Washington Design Center, Roxanne stays current on design trends and new product offerings ….and has a blast doing so!
As passionate as she is about design, she adores her family above all. She lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband, two daughters and spunky Havanese. In her free time she can be found volunteering in her children’s school, curling up with a spine tingling crime novel or pounding out a run while listening to a too loud iPod.
